HOLOLENS 3D UI
Experience design at Takeleap, Chennai
To design an experience with Microsoft Hololens for SCRF ( Sharjah Children's Reading Festival) to demonstrate the technology of the future in the field of mechanical / electrical engineering, to the target audience - children.
A podium, with a marker placed on it to be scanned by hololens, will be placed at the event.
Upon scanning the marker, a 3D model associated of a car (mechanical engineering) will pop up, on the podium, with some issues that need fixing (eg: a futuristic car with the wrong inefficient engine, etc).
The user is presented with questions that will help them fix the 3D model when the user chooses the right answers. This gives them a sneak peek of technology of the future.

With the stall design at the event being completely white, the UI was designed in cyan blue so it can stand out in the white background. A 3D model of the UI design, modelled using Rhino3D is shown at the top of this page.
